HDMI Cable

To connect 4K devices, you need at least a High-Speed HDMI cable (HDMI 2.0), but an Ultra High-Speed HDMI cable (HDMI 2.1) is recommended for the best future-proof performance, especially if you have or plan to get gaming consoles or an 8K TV.
Bandwidth: A High-Speed (HDMI 2.0) cable offers 18 Gbps bandwidth, sufficient for 4K at 60Hz and static HDR (HDR10, HLG). An Ultra High-Speed (HDMI 2.1) cable provides 48 Gbps, enabling higher resolutions/refresh rates like 4K at 120Hz or 8K at 60Hz, plus dynamic HDR (Dolby Vision, HDR10+).
Length: For most standard home setups, cables under 3 meters work well. For longer distances (over 5-10 meters), you should use active or fiber optic HDMI cables to prevent signal loss.
Features: If your devices support advanced features like Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) or Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) for gaming, or enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) for high-bitrate audio (Dolby Atmos, DTS:X), you will need an HDMI 2.1 cable.
Certification/Build Quality: Look for “Premium High Speed” or “Ultra High Speed” certification labels on the packaging. A well-made cable with braided jackets, gold-plated connectors, and good shielding will offer better durability and signal protection.
